Business Development Manager

We are a Pharmaceutical Wholesaler (located in Central Belt, Scotland) specialising in the supply of Parallel Import and Generic products to pharmacies and wholesalers within the UK and Europe. The Company has a superb reputation within the industry and has a very healthy turnover.  As a result of our continued expansion, an opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join our family owned business.

Purpose of Job

The Business Development Manager will have the responsibility to grow and develop the current portfolio of accounts and to maximize revenue through new and existing business

JOB PROFILE

Manage customer relationships to maximize sales and achieve profitable growth.

Achieve continuity with our regular customers and create growth by introducing new accounts.

Understand the needs of our customers by identifying new products where the customer has regular demand.

A strong link and build effective and productive relationships within the Company’s Telesales Team.

Working with senior management on maximising business relationships, gather market information, competitor activity and pricing strategies and create an environment where customer service is key.

Set sales and performance targets.

Raise awareness of the Companies presence in the marketplace.

Be an Ambassador for the company while building relationships for a solid future.

Preferred Experience

Excellent Customer facing skills & general Business Acumen.  Accustomed to meeting / exceeding Sales targets. Candidate would be self-motivated, enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and able to work on their own initiative.  Have the ability to build strong relationships within a very competitive market.  Full UK driving licence.
