A major food business with a host of heritage brands we all know is seeking a head of shopper marketing to lead a team of 4.


This role will be starting with a blank canvas and is a chance to define what it takes to deliver first class execution of brand plans across all retail channels.



Key responsibilities:
  • Make brands a compelling choice at point of purchase
  • Lead the Shopper Marketing agenda internally and externally - including development and execution of annual NPD Activation & Display strategy and plan
  • Management of circa £2m activation budget and ROI evaluation.
  • Lead the development of a newly created function, step changing sales execution by ensuring the sales team have the direction and materials to deliver high quality execution.
  • Translate the marketing calendar into clear channel plans for Grocery, C&I and Discounters including tracking and course correction action planning with Sales and Marketing




This role will suit a seasoned shopper marketing / trade marketing or activation professional with FMCG experience and ideally food. Strong influencing and communication skills are key to ensure buy in to the new division. The role will be mainly internally facing however meeting customers will be included in responsibility - also leadership & proven team management is essential.
