Category Manager

A leader in their field, this business is highly profitable with a strong business model, currently enjoying strong growth in an established sector.

On their behalf I am currently looking for a Category Manager to work in line with a top 4 grocery account.

Working within this category you will build a category relationship across a branded and own label portfolio. You will be the expert in all category and customer knowledge, responsible for range and space analysis, POS, detailed understanding of retailer competitor sets, with a focus on growing shares, growth, strategies, range and space, pricing and promotional activity. With the use of IRI and AC Nielsen you will be experienced in manipulating data to form insights. In the short term there are category wins to be had, whilst in the long term you can shape and lead the category direction.

Your breadth of customer marketing or category management experience means you can help grow the category, sales and market shares for both the business and your accounts. You will have FMCG experience working in line with the grocery sector. This is a role with a variety of exciting marketing challenges; you will need to be commercially minded, creative and analytical as the role encompasses translating consumer insights into actionable recommendations, promotional work, range planning and evaluation.  You will help co-ordinate and implement the brand plans and trade marketing strategies.
