Customer Business Manager - Tesco or Sainsbury’s

One of the pivotal players in the UK retail industry is seeking an influential, resilient and analytical Customer Business Manager to help boost the financial performance of the organisation.

As Customer Business Manager you will collaborate with our client's big name customers, so that both parties' needs are emphatically met. You will bring to the table your considerable knowledge of business performance and key drivers as you plan, deliver and monitor the category elements of joint business plans. You will also be responsible for the full implementation of the corporate calendar and the negotiation of trading terms.

This post would suit a charismatic and astute senior sales professional, someone who has the determination and nous to impress, and to secure mutually beneficial outcomes for our client and their customers. This role will provide a platform for an ambitious individual to build their career in an iconic, supportive organisation.

Key responsibilities:

• Creating and delivering plans for customers which also hit internal business targets.
• Updating sales and gross profit forecasts, and creating evolving plans throughout the year.
• Executing and monitoring customer promotional performance.
• Driving visibility and availability of designated SKUs within the customers.
• Negotiating new listings, and implementing new product launches.

What our client is looking for:

To succeed, you’ll possess cross functional experience, and exceptional sales and negotiation skills. You'll have a background managing a national top four retailer within a blue-chip FMCG organisation - including impressive experience of JBP negotiation, people management, category strategy, price increases and promotional management.

Our client is looking for a results-orientated, highly numerate individual, who's able to forge robust and productive relationships, deliver on and exceed targets, and work effectively in a team. In addition, you'll be meticulous, diligent and extremely organised.
