Account Manager - wholesale

Our client is a food manufacturer, supplying Scottish heritage branded products into the Wholesale/Foodservice sector. They are a growing company, and are seeking to expand their Sales team with an account manager to handle relationships with wholesalers including a number of their key customers.

The role will be field based with the person expected to be on the road at least 4 days per week so very much a role for someone looking to be customer facing.

The role 

•    Maintaining and extending the range of products listed with Wholesalers.
•    Identifying and pursuing regional Key Accounts opportunities.
•    Carrying out presentations to Wholesalers, including presentations at conferences and exhibitions.
•    Carrying out market research, competitor surveys and customer surveys.

The Candidate

•    A background in foodservice sales and knowledge of wholesale is a must.
•    Be able to hit the ground running, working independently with minimum supervision.
•    Be comfortable handling a portfolio of Wholesalers

A package of circa £30k basic salary + car allowance + bonus + package is available depending on experience.
