Background:
Shopper Intelligence (http://www.shopperintelligence.com) is an international, quantitative measurement research programme based on shopper interviews, covering all major categories, brands and retailers in one cost efficient benchmarking process.
Our shopper research programme provides objective, comparative data on what category and brand shoppers want, and how satisfied they are at a category level in each fascia, together with a range of attitude and shopper behaviour metrics that drive category management and shopper marketing strategies.
Established in the UK in 2011, we are now looking to further expand our team to work with our growing number of Retailer and Supplier clients.
Position:
The Shopper Insights Manager is responsible for maintaining and developing Shopper Intelligence client-business relationships. They provide day to day support for Shopper Intelligence clients with the goal of ensuring excellent customer service and client satisfaction, whilst also identifying and developing additional business opportunities. The Shopper Insights Manager is also required to understand and analyse Shopper Intelligence data, produce insight presentations and respond to client specific needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
1) Relationship Management
Build productive relationships with clients to ensure Shopper Intelligence is highly regarded within the client business. Aim to develop a dependant relationship with key accounts to maintain their loyalty over the long-term. Maintain strong, regular communication with clients to keep them up to date with developments from Shopper Intelligence and ensure the business is always aware of client developments, opportunities and risks.
2) Client Understanding
Liaise with clients to identify and deliver deep dive analysis to specific client briefs as part of the core Shopper Intelligence contract. Analyse and interpret Shopper Intelligence data to identify key insights and recommendations for clients. Produce customised PowerPoint presentations to deliver these deep dives back to the client.
3) Market and Competitor Understanding
Understand and disseminate market knowledge to assist with key account relationships and to keep Shopper Intelligence personnel updated and informed. Monitor competitive activity to identify potential threats to Shopper Intelligence and clients.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
1) Knowledge
Knowledge and understanding of the FMCG marketplace
Excel and PowerPoint capability to an intermediate level
Strong knowledge and understanding of category management practices and shopper insight
2) Skills
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Strong presentation skills
Excellent analytical ability/relevant experience
Time management and organisational agility
Ability to work unsupervised
3) Experience
May have agency experience already or could be looking for a move to agency side environment
Previous experience managing internal (supplier-side) or external (agency-side) clients in the FMCG industry
Experience of understanding and delivering research an advantage
