Job Details
This is an exciting role working directly with Unilever by driving sales with buyers and availability in depots across major C&C accounts, in this role you will also be responsible for central ordering and finances.
Role:
- To complete three-weekly central orders for the entire Dhamecha C&C group, advising on special promotions, current stock values, local promotions and new products as needed.
- Meeting buyers and driving sales as dictated by the needs of the Unilever business throughout both Landmark, Today's and Independent buying groups in depot and at C&C Head Office's
- Working with Unilever's internal sales teams, the CDE and Senior TM, Cash & Carry head offices and depot managers to drive stock into the depots.
- Drive on shelf availability of products by adjusting book stocks, ordering to delivery schedules and claiming space by negotiation with depots.
- Influence incremental product/POS display - Negotiate increased visibility of key focus areas and utilise additional display units and brand POS to maximise product visibility and drive sales.
- Instigating and landing local promotions in addition to national promotions with the CDE and CAM.
- New Product Distribution - Delivery of promotional presentations to buyers in order to gain listings and maximise distribution and visibility of new product launches across your territory.
- Joint Business Plans - Accurate recording of current depot activity and the identification of future opportunities to increase sales and work with depots on local strengths to maximise opportunities. Completion of depot reports for feedback to buyers.
- Manage and attend in-depot and external roadshows to maximise sales and encourage footfall and growth.
- To analyse depot sales data and working with Unilever's CDE / CAM team and depot managers to understand trends and opportunities in depots.
Other responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with contacts at all levels across the depots
- Liaise with the CDE and CAM to develop local promotions
- Develop high levels of insight/knowledge of Unilever and in-depot expertise
- Utilise selling and closing skills to deliver business objectives.
- Taking ownership for their own KPI's and strives to exceed them.
- Delivers work on time and to appropriate quality.
- Demonstrates a passion to understand Unilever's organisation, product and business environment.
Skills Required:
- Confidence in analysing spreadsheet data and creating own spreadsheets to use in-call, using all MS Office programs in presentations, emails and letters.
- Strong numerical skills and an understanding of VAT / GP% / NIV
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Persistent and resilient, willing to overcome objections and take a pragmatic approach to setbacks and challenges.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to develop long-term relationships.
- Proactive - each depot is a self-contained business whilst remaining part of a group - there are opportunities for salesmanship and landing KPI's in every site but the candidate needs to seek them out consistently and with purpose.
