To support the Skincare Category Team in developing their top brands, to deliver commercial and market share growth, through an innovative and tenacious brand management strategy.  A strong creative flair with the desire to learn, grow and develop all aspects of the marketing mix as well as strong project management skills. 

The Role:

  • Brand Management
    • Assist in developing and executing brand building and promotional initiatives, as well as the Mildly Medicated proposition to deliver against KPIs.
    • Working alongside the Senior Brand Manager and the National Account Manager for a leading retailor; develop and implement a rolling 12 month calendar of limited edition collection.

 

  • PR and Social Media
    • In conjunction with the brands external PR Agency:
      - Oversee and manage the brand’s day-to-day social activity (Facebook and Twitter).
      - Co-ordinate all PR activity and communication, including samples, press releases and events as well as internal communication of key activities and achievements.
    • Assist in developing and executing an annual social media plan and reviewing performance on a weekly and monthly basis.
    • Responsible for updating and managing the brand website.

 

  • Own Brand
    • Closely monitors and analyzes sales volumes, market share trends and competitive activity for UK and International markets.
    • Assists in developing and executing promotional initiatives to profitably increase brand sales, profit and share

 

  • NPD
    • Programme manages the Own Brand Product Development Process to ensure the 5 stage gate is completed, critical path and gate are updated and documents completed by Brand Manager/Senior Brand Manager in a timely manner.

 

  • Sales - Domestic & Export Markets
    • Work with the Trade Marketing Manager and the UK & International Sales Team to create brand POS, sales campaign sheets, brand bibles, marketing communication tool-kits.
    • Support in the preparation of retailer initiatives within brand guidelines to drive sales and profit to ensure our client is Retailers supplier of choice.
    • To support the Sales Team in producing  brand presentations of a high standard bringing to life the brand values and innovation highlights for use in presenting to key retailers, and to accompany the Sales team on important brand presentations to key retailers.
    • Manage sample requests ensuring samples are sent out.

The Ideal Assistant Brand Manager for this role would have the following qualifications:

  • At least 2 year’s experience in a Marketing /Product Management/Retail buying role.
  • Health and Beauty industry experience preferable.
  • A Business related degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Experience in developing products will be a distinct advantage.
  • A full driving license is required.
  • Travel in the UK and overseas is required for this role.
