The primary function of the FMCG convenience national account manager is to;
* Manage and develop sustainable customer relations at all levels and across all functions within designated customers
* Achieve agreed annual business targets for specified accounts within the convenience channel
Client Details
My client, an FMCG North West based business are seeking an ambitious national account manager to successfully manage and develop business and revenue through the convenience channel.
Description
The successful North West national account manager will be responsible for the following:
Customer
* Own and manage all communications within the customer and to the relevant Nams and Field Sales teams
* Establish and develop a network of contacts across the Customers organisation to maximise impact
* Manage the day to say sales operation within the direction set by the Channel Director
* Implement and adapt the business strategy and manage risks and opportunities
* Develop and implement full account plan with customer including promotions, NPD, category management
* Analyse account performance by brand and explain any significant variances to Prior year, forecast and target
Deliver Targets
* Manage trade spend within agreed budget
* Monitor and look to constantly improve ROI of all customer activities
* Ensure full visibility of trade investment, margin and look to improve the joint position
* Work with supply chain to manage all aspects of forecasting
* Work with Category Management to provide insight and category risks to provide opportunities to direct business
Profile
The ideal profile for the national account manager position is;
* A passionate and committed individual with a strong drive for results is required for this role
* The ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment is essential
* Ability to build open and honest relationships with people on all levels of the business.
* Educated to degree level
* Fully computer literate
* Minimum 1 years Nam experience with a proven track record of financial capability
* Excellent negotiator and commercially astute
* Determination to achieve and willingness to continually learn
