Senior Technologist Hospitality
Our leading food retailer wishes to appoint a Senior Technologist into the food team who will be responsible for the hospitality and in-store preparations of food within its stores.

This is a pivotal role to use your technical knowledge, expertise and judgement in the development and roll out of in-store propositions which provide high quality, safe, and legal products that meet the retailer's market leading brand values.

With a strong emphasis on governance and compliance, you will define and lead the ongoing development of HACCP and related due diligence requirements in store ensuring appropriate stakeholders are involved and engaged as required.

The main responsibilities include:
-Proactively look at innovative ways to drive improvements in compliance and ways of working for hospitality and in-store manufacture related to standards and governance
-Input into and determine technical vision and to deliver the Business Unit strategy for area
-Technical sign off store plans from a food safety aspect as required in conjunction with hospitality category technologist
-Ensure product quality and delivery processes are clearly specified for the retail operations team.
-Identifying and rolling out good practice day to day compliance and monitoring
-Utilise knowledge of Food Law to ensure product and retail processes are legal
-Briefing stores on changes to due diligence requirements and operational activities for new initiatives
-Liaise with international technologist on governance best practices and streamlining

With a food technology degree, you will be a strong leader and influencer and able to communicate with key stakeholders at all levels. Technical experience within the hospitality sector is beneficial as is a Fellowship or Membership of IFST.
