Our client is a privately owned company, supplying major retailers and foodservice companies with a variety of chilled and ambient products. The business has grown rapidly, and now operates from three advanced sites in the South of England. Role:

Due to growth, an exciting role within category management has arisen within the business to report into the Category Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

• To understand the performance drivers of the customer vs the market and other retailers
• Identify gaps and opportunities to grow the category for the customer and the business
• Driving category and shopper agenda within the Growth Team
• Provide direction and guidance to NPD in developing products
• Work in partnership with NPD, Sales and Commercial Finance to ensure Range recommendations enhance the business’ commercial position
• Ensuring the growth team completely understands the category performance within the customer
• Working with NPD to ensure that products meet consumer and shopper needs
• Profitable growth of each category within the customer
• Providing unbiased shopper and consumer insight to the customer

Requirements

• To be considered for this role, you will have experience in an FMCG environment within a Category role.
• You will need to be analytical and decisive, with an understanding and experience of working with Kantar, Neilsen and retailer loyalty data.
