Summary

As the Customer Development Manager you will work cross functionally to ensure that the organisation have the appropriate product offer, marketing, investment and demand plan in place for the channel to drive sales growth.

Responsible for building a strategic platform to deliver rapid growth in professional products over the next 5 years through establishing strategic partnerships through all appropriate routes to market.

Ensure the organisation continue to meet the challenges of the particular channel and deliver profitable growth for their portfolios.

Description

-Develop, communicate and implement a 3 year strategy for the brand.
-Ensure strategic alignment to the brands Professional strategy within the Customer Development organisation.
-Deliver quarterly and annual net sales/margin/profit targets by creating and implementing the appropriate commercial plan for the brands, Professional and Personal care portfolios.
-Demonstrate commercial acumen in interrogating the business, in order to swiftly identify issues and opportunities for resolution/optimisation.
-Build strong external networks, in order to enhance customer engagement, gain a broad and deep understanding of the particular channels and be the first to identify new business opportunities and challenges.
-Work closely and creatively with organisations customer marketing and brand managers to identify, develop and implement the appropriate business solutions required and brand initiatives to drive the business forward.
-Build strong internal networks in order to raise the profile, business focus and support for particular channels.
Accurately forecast volume/sales/investment through effective 5P planning and clear identification of risks and opportunities on a monthly cycle.
-Proactively take on business development projects within the customer development function, to drive and influence the broader organisations business.
-Work cross functionally to develop and implement plans to gain recommendation for branded products.


Profile

A bright, ambitious character, with strategic capabilities, able to influence and negotiate both internally and externally, with a clear commitment to delivering business results in a timely manner. A commercially astute individual, with the ability to build strong business relationships whilst developing and implementing creative, sustainable, mutually profitable business solutions.

Beneficial but not vital - knowledge of the Pharmacy routes to market. Ability to think strategically and tactically to deliver commercial plans within these channels.
