Our client is a globally successful FMCG business with a strong branded and private label product portfolio. To support the on going growth of the private label offering, a new Customer Product Manager role has been created.

The key remit of the role of Customer Product Manager is to work cross functionally with commercial to deliver NPD/EPD projects for your top four grocery retailer. You will be responsible for ensuring required specifications and timelines are adhered to and that underlying sales and profitability levels are maintained within commercial targets. You will utilise continuous data sets such as TNS, IRI, Kantar, Mintel and epos data to identify consumer needs or gaps in the market, the actionable recommendations you gather will then inform your NPD/EPD planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of NPD / EPD projects from concept to launch.
  • Creation of internal documentation to facilitate product launches.
  • Creation of retailer product and packaging specifications, including artwork.
  • Ensuring customer websites are up to date with current packaging images.
  • Participation in category reviews.
  • Using customer systems to provide information and reports to demonstrate performance versus business targets and competitors.
  • Compiling trend data analysis.
  • Attending customer meetings.


The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre with demonstrable experience in either product management or private label sales or marketing, gained within a UK grocery retailer or FMCG business. You will be an experienced project manager with additional skills in category management techniques or principles and some experience of presenting to UK grocery retailers.
