Buyer - Fresh Produce

A fast expanding and ambitious Fresh Produce company requires a forward thinking individual to join their commercial department at a key point in the organisation's development. The opportunity will suit an individual with ambition and a strong Buying background.



The Opportunity



Working with an experienced and dedicated team, you will be responsible for managing a 'Cradle to Grave' Fresh Produce Supply Chain. This will include strategic sourcing and negotiation with growers to maximise profitability. As you will be the first point of contact for the business in your Category, you will develop productive working relationships with key stakeholders and agents in the Supply Chain, including shippers and forwarders.



By running Stock Analysis and managing product availability, you will ensure a minimal impact to the Supply Chain during the off-season.



You will have the opportunity to meet suppliers in person, travelling to Europe and South Africa as part of a group to represent the brand. European language skills will be considered a bonus, but they are not essential.

You will have experience working in a Buying role, dealing with Fresh Produce. You will be a confident negotiator, with the flexibility and enthusiasm that the FMCG sector demands. You will be flexible to take on international travel.
