National Account Controller

The Company

We are very pleased to be working with a fast-paced, commercial and highly-respected FMCG organisation on a high profile role based at their office in West Yorkshire. The company have a strong portfolio of household name brands sold both throughout the UK and internationally.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the National Account Director this superb National Account Controller will:

- Oversee the Asda team with full responsibility for the P&L

- Manage 3 people: SNAM, NAM, Commercial Analyst

- Work on across different categories with responsibility for a number of top-selling brands

- Develop the strategy on how to build the business with Asda and manage the customer strategy and    relationship 

- Develop together with the National Account Director, trade terms by customer that leads to maximum volume, profit, customer satisfaction and product availability at appropriate cost

- Provide challenge within a Category Business Team from a customer perspective

- Contribute to the overall sales and commercial strategy 

- Partner with the marketing organisation to develop business plans for new brands and categories and lead the sales organisation in implementation

- Lead and motivate the team to achieve excellent customer relationships and business results

The Person

The ideal person will be a highly focused, commercial and results-orientated individual with a real passion for developing and growing long-term profitable customer relationships and for managing a team of people.

You will be an existing Senior National Account Manager or National Account Controller from with FMCG and will have an in-depth knowledge of at least one top tier UK Grocer Retailer preferably Asda.
