We are keen to hear from experienced category managers, who are looking to progress their career with a global flavour leader.

Reporting to the UK Senior Category Manager, the Category Manager will have P&L responsibility for one of our key accounts and associated growth in line with the Budget.

The successful individual will:

  • Develop, present and implement account specific category plans that drive category growth in line with McCormick category and brand strategy and in conjunction with sales team. Ensure mutual benefits for McCormick and retail partners. Plans to include range, merchandising, NPD and promotional and other in store activities.
  • Develop and present rationale for McCormick initiatives such as NPD in conjunction with sales and marketing teams to the trade as required.
  • Monitor and review performance of category, brand and McCormick activities in specific accounts for internal and external review.
  • Provide and present regular bespoke updates to accounts highlighting opportunities and trends in conjunction with category analyst.
  • Co-ordinate proposals and deployment of in store category activities.
  • Ensure category range reviews and planograms are implemented effectively through planning and timely internal and external communication and co-ordination.
  • Ensure effective implementation of McCormick product launches through sell-in activities, in store support co-ordination and planogram updates.
  • Ensure effective and efficient implementation of promotional activity by identifying appropriate category promotional mechanics and the evaluation of category, McCormick and shopper impact with recommendations to the business.
  • Ensure effective and efficient implementation of in store display activities including FSU/related display. Manage in store theatre and POS, aligning McCormick and retailer objectives and parameters.
  • Manage/work on relevant McCormick business projects as required.
