BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

 

This is a fantastic time to be joining our fun and exciting premium artisan ice cream brand. As we are based in the North of England, we are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager that will sell our exciting range of flavours to the best restaurants and hotels in London and the South East region. With high growth and expansion plans this position could potentially lead to future management positions.

 

THE ROLE: The role of Business Development Sales Manager will require you to:

• Work independently, using your initiative and existing contacts from the “fast casual” chain restaurants, contract caterers and hotels.

• To negotiate and sell a bespoke service that will provide customers with our award winning artisan ice cream and other products in the future.

• Increase our market share and brand awareness in the South East region

• Growing existing accounts and also securing new accounts, maintaining and understanding customers plans going forward.

• Researching potential leads and ensuring you are familiar with new food and restaurant trends.

• Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for bringing in new leads, liaising with your contacts and confidently pitching our products, advising on dessert food pairing options.

 

THE PERSON:

• You will be a highly driven, outgoing, hard working and ambitious consultative sales professional.

• You must ideally come from a business to business sales background. It would be preferred that you have experience of working in the food and restaurant industry. We will focus on employing an individual with a solution led sales approach.

• You will be confident liaising with buyers, purchasing managers, directors and head chefs, your role will be to develop strong relationships.

• You will already have extensive experience of managing client accounts in a fast paced environment.

• You will work remotely from the businesses main oce of Sheeld and have excellent time management skills, be a self starter and highly motivated.

 

THE PACKAGE FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SALES MANAGER:

• Basic - £32,000

• Bonus related to sales activity

• Benefits: Laptop, mobile, holidays, car allowance

 

LOCATION: The position of Business Development Sales Manager covers: London and the Home Counties
