Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will manage a small team with two principal objectives:                              

To further Freixenet’s status as a leader in the Sparkling Wine category through the implementation and evolution of the Freixenet category vision and to deliver a creative shopper engagement strategy at the point of purchase, enhancing a unique point of difference for the Freixenet brand.  You will influence new thinking in front of both sales and marketing teams, hugely excited by this new role, to ensure the organisation’s core proposition is engaging, relevant and delivers against a highly competitive Drinks category and retailing market.  You will champion a wide variety of insight based rationale plus shopper marketing programmes, from traditional research of shopper behaviour to TTL in store activation including digital/online shopper campaigns, all centred on enhancing  and exceeding customer and shopper expectations.

You will have a true understanding of category management, ideally combined with a working knowledge of shopper marketing methods.  You’ll demonstrate a valued appreciation for brands and product offering at the point of sale.  At very least you’ll drive an infectious passion for delivering results. 

This will be a challenging role and environment for you and you’ll be part of an ambitious close knit team providing leadership and inspiration to those around you as well as the Board.  Enthusiasm won’t be enough on its own.  You will be judged on performance, so you’ll combine boundless energy, original ideas, solid category and shopper marketing understanding.  Capable of changing attitudes and new thinking across the business, your priority will be the effective deployment of category and shopper marketing strategy.
