Hudson James Human Capital Group are currently partnering with one of the largest food manufacturing businesses in the UK on a number of interesting opportunities.

In this role as Commercial Manager you will be working alongside B2B accounts across the added value poultry division. Your responsibilities will include the delivery of sustainable commercial business growth through increasing sales and profitability targets for a customer profile. You will have ownership of business planning and reviews; as well as maintaining account administration and documentation. You will support the project management of new product launches and co-ordinating any sample/packaging requests.

You should be a person who is able to inspire others whilst working collaboratively with others to achieve common goals. You should be customer focused in order to develop a deeper understanding of needs and opportunities of new and existing customers. You should use thinking skill to analysis, decide and priorities what is best for the Company as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • To meet business development targets with existing and new customers
  • To work with NPD team to launch innovative products from site
  • To develop and implement category plans to maximise business performance
  • To drive key business relationships with key customer personnel

Business Planning & Reviews

  • Ownership of internal/external category business plans
  • Responsibility for driving key initiatives to drive category sales growth

Maintaining Account Administration & Documentation

  • Daily sales tracking
  • Weekly sales tracker
  • Master Data changes
  • Launch and delist communication

Store Audits

  • Use of internal and external data sources to conduct analysis and administration as required
  • Conduct regular customer & competitor store checks
  • Compile a report detailing any new lines, deletions, promotions, price movement, retailer initiatives, etc
  • Maintain packaging and photographic files

Manage & Circulate core range & promotional activity document

  • Support the project management of new product launches/upgrades/packaging changes, co-ordinating any sample/packaging requests.

Promotional Evaluation Management

  • Manage promo evaluation forms pre/post via the S&OP process
  • Set up trackers vs. base during specific activity

Sales Forecasting

  • Responsible for forecast input into Excel and SAP formats / forecast accuracy KPI

Customer Service

  • Communicate over’s & shorts to customers, investigate reasons for via specific manufacturing sites
  • Weekly shortage report

In order to be successful in this position you will need to have experience in the FMCG industry in a National Account Manager role. Experience with short shelf life, own label goods would also be desirable for this role.
