Category Buyer

Road Town Wholesale is accepting applications for the post of Category Buyer in our Purchasing Department.

The successful applicant:

• Must be highly flexible and proactive
• Must have experience in buying and supply chain management
• Must have the ability to negotiate internationally
• Must be able to source products and place orders with suppliers
• Must be able to negotiate and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained
• Must have experience in merchandising and marketing

Job Requirements:

• Must be skilled with computers and data management
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Possess interpersonal skills
• Must have excellent customer service skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Associate's degree or 4 years experience in Purchasing
• Must read, write and speak English fluently
• Possess good verbal communication, basic math and intermediate computer skills for data base management and report generation
• Ability to problem-solve, plan ahead, and work independently and in a team
• General knowledge of retail product warehousing and merchandising
