The role:

An exciting opportunity to join our UK commercial team is now available. As Senior Customer Manager you will have full P&L responsibility for one of our top two retail customers. Managing significant turnover, you will be expected to achieve budgeted volume and net sales growth, whilst driving market out performance for the McCain brand within agreed parameters. Genuine career progression opportunities will follow success in this role.

  • Responsible for the management and development of a National Account Manager.
  • Creation and focused delivery of the annual joint customer business plan in liaison with our customer and consumer marketing teams.
  • Work closely with our category team to deliver tangible business wins through excellent insight
  • Create and deliver bespoke NPD sell in presentations.
  • Design, negotiate and implement a rolling 12 month McCain promotional programme aligned to the national brand marketing plan and category growth objectives.
  • In conjunction with the customer marketing team produce and implement space and availability plans. 
  • Deliver supply chain excellence to the customer through close partnerships with the supply chain team, and through effective volume management. 

Requirements:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity it is important you have a positive can-do attitude. You will have a proven track record as a Senior National Account Manager within the FMCG food industry and ideally have experience of managing the relationship with one of the top four grocery multiples.

  • Dynamic interpersonal capabilities that will enable you to influence both internally and externally.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Joint business planning.
  • The qualities and drive to further develop your career to a higher level.
  • Strong commercial awareness and selling instinct, with understanding of the FMCG market.
