We aim to inspire aspirational foodies and sate the appetite of real foodies – we are passionate about our food. Established in 2007, the Group operates 7 farm shops with a combined turnover of around £6m. Our shops offer easy access; fresh local produce and the best staple and culinary delights from England and the rest of the world. Our flagship stores also have a restaurant / café and we see this symbiotic relationship with the retail offer as crucial to any new site openings. The Group continues to grow both at its established shops and with new shop openings, centred in South East England. We are now looking for someone with a passion for food, people and retailing who has strong operational capabilities and experience to act as the CEO’s right hand person.

The Role

You will be tasked with taking full control of our day-to-day operations in both the retail and catering aspects of the business and be directly responsible for the Area Managers working under you.  You will report to the CEO and your responsibilities, inter alia, will include:

  • The implementation of Group strategy at operational level
  • Ensuring company standards and procedures are being followed at all times
  • Managing all aspects of the budgets relating to your multi-channel retail businesses
  • Delivering positive results against budget and set KPI’s
  • Bringing innovation to the businesses and inspiring the teams within them
  • Working independently, using your initiative and communicating effectively with colleagues

 The Candidate

The right candidate will have a passion for food and seasonal/local sourcing and an excellent eye for detail. They must be able to motivate and inspire those working under them and maintain the exceptional standards required by the company. They will be self-motivated to work under challenging and pressured environments. Experience at senior operational level in a retail environment is essential.
