We at New Chapter are excited to represent one the UK’s leading beauty/personal care manufacturers in their search for a Product Manager – Private Label. Focussing on the design, manufacturing and distribution of beauty products, our client supply to a multitude of Grocery, Retail & Pharmacy accounts in 3 key operating functions: Brand Owner, Private Label management & contract manufacturing. Their instantly recognisable product portfolio can be found in most households across the UK in a variety of health + beauty categories including personal care, haircare, skincare and men’s grooming to name a few!

Our client have received an array of awards recognising their exceptional service in Private label contract manufacturing (Boots, Superdrug, Asda own brand supplier/account manager of the year) and are therefore looking to expand their private label team with the inclusion of a Private Label Product Manager. The role is a highly commercial Product Management role with heavy exposure to NPD, Customer Research, Account Management & customer liaison. The successful candidate will take complete ownership of a Key Customer account of the business for the determined category and manage all aspects including:

• Responding to customer briefs of Product Briefs/Tenders
• Full profit & loss management for the given category/customer.
• Market research and consumer insight to present to the customer.
• Liasing with internal departments including NPD, R&D & Sales.

As a successful candidate you will have experience working with an FMCG manufacturer within a product capacity, ideally at product manager level. You will have experience liaising with key retailers, working on client assignments, working with internal departments & managing the full product life cycle from concept to launch, including packaging/artwork design. You must also be passionate about the health & beauty industry and working in a fast-paced environment with constant new product development!
