Job Details
Our client is a category leading FMCG business going through exponential global expansion. They are moving towards a category driven approach with the development of a new global team. Due to his expansion they are currently looking for a Senior Global Category Manager to be based in their North East headquarters.
You will be responsible for the strategic direction of a give focus category, worldwide, driving the commercial agenda to meet EBITDA & brand health plans.
You will analyse global insights, purchasing & trend data alongside Product & consumer information to develop a rolling 3 year category strategy plan. Your duties will focus around the following key areas;
• Brand Building - Accountable for the key brand health metrics
• Insight - Track competitive landscape & understand insight of key markets and barriers to growth
• NPD - Develop mandate for global NPD & innovation projects
The role will require interaction with many stakeholder around the business & externally.
Person Description
You will have gained extensive classical marketing experience in an FMCG environment with experience in a Category or Strategic Marketing with P&L responsibility.
International experience would be advantageous but applications from candidates operating in a senior UK marketing role with an interest in International marketing would also be considered.
You will be s strong influencer with ability to manage and engage with a range of internal stakeholders across the Group.
You will possess strong leadership skills to manage a team across multiple locations.
