Global food manufacturer, looking to recruit a CAPEX Sourcing Manager to lead a team to effectively develop and execute a strategy for the procurement of capital equipment globally.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing a supply base who are capable in terms of cost, quality, service and innovation, who have the capability to implement CAPEX solutions and drive competitive advantage in the manufacturing of their products.
The spend for this role is around £60m across manufacturing sites in the UK and International sites. The role has one direct report and you will drive high levels of stakeholder management and have really strong influencing skills to enable extension of the supply base.
Most of the supply base is well established within the business. But you’ll be tasked with extending this due to competitive and economic pressures.
To be considered for this role, we’re looking for high calibre Purchasing Professionals who have experience of CAPEX procurement – preferably within the food industry.
- Degree educated
- Strategic sourcing experience
- Excellent supplier development skills
- Expert market knowledge and understanding across the team
- Ability to manage and engage stakeholders across all functions
- Ability to guide and develop staff, maintaining high performance
- Excellent negotiation and project management experience
- Budget management and internal engagement
