An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Interim Sales Director to join one of the UKs ingredients businesses. The business supplies wide range products into in excess of 3000 customers including food manufacturers, retail outlets and the foodservice customers. Following on from many years of successful profitable growth my client has become one of the dominate players within the market. The business turnover is in the excess of £50m, operating from 6 sites across the UK. Following recent investment and future plans the business are looking to bring in an Interim Sales Director to help devise a strategy for their future growth.
As Sales Director you will be responsible for over £50m of sales across the channels noted above. You will manage and develop a sales force of 25 people including National Account Manager, Field Sales Managers and Regional Sales Managers. Your role will be hands on and you will be expected to help devise a strategy and implement sales processes to improve the on-going growth of the business.
To be considered for this opportunity you must have proven man-management skills in a previous position at Sales Director/Head of Sales/Foodservice Director level. You will have to demonstrate your strategic thinking and have a track record of developing profitable sales. Experience in either the Foodservice or B2B channels is essential for this role. Interviewing for this position will be conducted over the next 2 weeks and you will be expected to start the role soon after. From a location perspective, the role is home-based with expectancy to be in the office 1 day per week.
