Industrial National Account Manager – Ingredients

Reporting into the Business Unit Director, the National Account Manager will be working for one of the UK’s leading ingredient suppliers, supplying ingredients and ingredient solutions into national food manufacturers. Renowned for being passionate innovators, this company provide a unique solution that delivers better taste, nutrition, convenience and value.

This business is currently turning over in excess of £250million within the UK and due to continued year on year growth, there is now a requirement for a National Account Manager to join their team.

The main responsibility of this role is to create a sustainable profitability through developing and executing a strategic plan that is based upon a deep understanding of the customer portfolio.

Other duties include:  

  • Defining and documenting strategy for each account and implementing the agreed strategy.
  • Working closely with the business development of the different technologies for input into account strategies.
  • Agreeing and executing pricing plans.
  • Meeting all pre-defined KPI targets.
  • Monitoring and measuring performance against targets, taking action where necessary to ensure target achievement.
  • Managing the relationship with the customer, overseeing activities with the customer in accordance with customer segmentation guidelines.
  • Providing input to and complying with all internal systems and processes as appropriate.

You shall be expected to have at least 3 years’ commercial experience within an industrial account management role. You will preferably have experience working within ingredient solutions, and have high levels of technical acumen. To be successful in this role you will be energetic, able to work cross functionally and above all keen to progress within a business which for the right person will offer ample opportunities for development.
