My client is constantly evolving, producing cutting edge products that are highly regarded in their marketplace. This is a business which is renowned for their products that are innovative, incorporating the most up to date technology with the style and ergonomic design their consumers are seeking.  Their portfolio is ever expanding, with new ranges across hair care, personal grooming and accessories.  Over the past 3 years their business has grown in excess of £10million and with the current plans in place this growth is set to continue. With this in mind they now seek a National Account Controller to join their team.

This role will report directly into the Sales Director and will see the successful candidate managing a team of 9 National Account Managers. Whilst this is predominately a people management role, the National Account Controller will have overall responsibility for the management and growth of the businesses Key National Accounts, including Boots, Superdrug and Argos. Although the account portfolio is already very strong, in order to continue the growth, this role will be heavily involved in new business opportunities, identifying gaps in the market and not only seeking to work with them but also developing products suited to their needs.

As a result, you will previously have worked in a similar position, preferably within the cosmetics and personal care industries. Experience working with the high street retailers is ideal, however prior involvement working with the top 4 grocers or department stores will be considered. Due to the size of team this role will see the successful candidate manage, it is essential that you have people management experience. It is paramount that you have worked in a role dealing with a high volume of SKU’s and are comfortable managing fast moving, low cost items.
