A new National Account Manager position to add to this successful team of retail, private label account managers in the bakery category. With already good relationships in place and a category captaincy in situ for the lead account, this role is about taking NPD to the customer and getting the new product to them proactively rather than reactively.  Commerciality balanced with creativity is key in the short-term as well as bringing a mid-term view to developing the team for the future.

To be successful in this National Account Manager role you’ll need to have some previous experience with private label or retailer brands into grocery, but this could be current or previous knowledge.  Because this is the largest account in the business you will need to come from a top 6 background and be working with or have previously worked with short shelf-life products.  A good understanding of NPD and the ability to liaise with not only your external customers but also your technical team is important.  There is so much scope to create and develop the team, this should be the first step in the business to a move into the controller position.
