Channel Manager– Top 4 Grocery Multiple, Convenience Formats & Online
Weetabix is not only the nation’s favourite breakfast cereal and no. 1 brand in the UK cereals category, it is also a highly successful global business producing a range of wholesome breakfast cereals, bars and drinks including the iconic Weetabix brand, Alpen, Oatibix, Ready Brek and Weetos. As part of the global Bright Food Group, further investment in NPD and Marketing is planned with a strong focus on substantial future growth both in the UK and Internationally. As a result we are now looking to recruit a high performing Channel Manager.
A newly created role, this will involve you working as a key member of the Grocery business unit team. You will have responsibility for working cross functionally with each of the Senior National Account Managers, developing and implementing business strategies across the top 4 grocery retail multiples, convenience and online format stores. This will include JBP responsibilities with a key focus on negotiating and driving product listings and store distribution together with shopper marketing activation activities, working collaboratively with category, shopper and field sales colleagues.
Of graduate calibre and with a minimum 3 years FMCG sales experience in a recognised branded FMCG food or drink business you will currently be operating at NAE or NAM level in either Convenience or Grocery Retail channels and are now ready to take on more responsibility in managing a Top 4 Grocery Multiple. Own label experience would be an added advantage. With strong commercial awareness, business planning (JBP aware) and cross-functional working skills, you can demonstrate the ability to influence the business agenda and build relationships both internally and within the customer.
The position offers a highly competitive basic salary plus bonus, company car (or allowance option) and a full range of benefits. In addition to this, you’ll be part of a company that supports and develops its people.
The role is office based with some flexibility with a requirement to attend the Kettering Head office 2 days per week. To learn more about the company please visit www.weetabix.co.uk
