BUSINESS ACCOUNT MANAGER

c.£55k-£60k plus car, bonus  & benefits

Home based – North/Mids/South

Our client is a privately owned, well-established, chilled and frozen foods business and a leading supplier of quality products to Grocery Multiple, Wholesale and Foodservice customers both in the UK and Europe. With a solid reputation for innovation and NPD, forward thinking and continued investment in state-of-the-art production and NPD facilities, the business prides itself on delivering a flexible, efficient customer service second to none.

With a clear vision and strategy for growth they are now looking for a talented and experienced Business Account Manager to take on full P&L and Commercial responsibility for developing their business with a broad mix of customers including Grocery Multiples, Discounters and Foodservice accounts.  The role will be focused on both managing existing accounts and developing new business

so it is important that that you are a confident networker with well-established trade contacts. 

With strong FMCG Commercial skills and a category-driven approach you’ll have previous experience and a proven track record of success in managing key customers. Your trade channel experience is less important in that you may have a background in Grocery Multiples, Discounters, Wholesale or Foodservice channels. Alternatively you may have a background in Retail buying from a recognised Grocery retailer and are now looking to move across to the supplier side of the fence.  Importantly, you will need to demonstrate previous exposure to own-label categories ideally gained in chilled foods, ready meals, meat, cooked meats or other short shelf-life categories.

The job role is home based with a requirement to attend the company’s Yorkshire based head office on an occasional basis.
