Business Development and Account Manager
Background & Specification:
Our Brewery was set up in 2011 and has grown incredibly quickly since and we are now looking for an experienced and driven individual to fill the newly created role of Business Development and Account Manager. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who will enjoy working closely with the two founding members to take the brewery to the next level, leading the new business drive and looking after key customer accounts. This is a unique opportunity for a talented individual to grow with the company.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have at least one year’s previous sales experience from within the UK drinks industry
- Knowledge of the London pub and bar environment a significant advantage
- Have a sound understanding of and interest in beer
- An understanding of the market for real ale in cask a significant advantage
- Have a high level of telephone, email and face to face interpersonal skill and enthusiasm
- Be forward thinking, pro-active and commercially minded
- Be self-motivated and able to prioritise
- Be comfortable with a flexible mix of working on the road and from the office
- Be able to balance the dual responsibilities of new business with existing client management
- Have proficient IT skills and be comfortable with the on-line social networking environment
Key Responsibilities:
- The daily use of Brewman software in maintaining existing customer relations and data-mining to generate new sales (training will be given)
- Successful approaches to new pubs and bars
- Arranging the dispatch of all orders and sample deliveries on Brewman
- Telephone sales and enquiries
- The ability to meet and exceed targets and add-sell by offering all products from within the range (including bottle sales)
- Actively promoting additional company services e.g bespoke contract brewing service
Salary: Combined basic commensurate with experience + bonus.
