Job Details

The ideal candidate for this position will be  responsible for contributing towards business growth through the delivery of Fashion & Home category plans. It will provide a compelling shopping experience for the consumer by delivering commercial edge through brand positioning and will support the drive for average order growth for UK & ROI.

The position will work closely with group Fashion & Home category manager to develop and execute the Fashion & Home strategy

They are very well known for their Cosmetic sector but are wanting to grow and expand their Fashion and Homewares standing within the market. This role will be pivitol for this growth plan.

The Role: 

Build & Manage Marketing Plan

  • Responsible for developing the annual Fasion & Home category strategies aligned to business objectives
  • Create KPI profit plan including resources allocation, competitor overview & activation
  • Responsible for providing market insight and trend analysis during the new product development process
  • Provide input into the stage gate process to mitigate risk of service and inventory creation
  • Oversee the creation of Fashion & Home planning workshop presentation

Developing Content

  • Responsible for signing off the category paginations, creative briefs and brief synopsis
  • Responsible for the continual review of resource allocation to ensure maximizing opportunities within Fashion & Home
  • Responsible for working with estimating team to review category performance against plan and propose solutions to close gaps
  • Responsible for attending all financial & brochure review meetings, providing critical insight and taking action when required
  • Accountable for the final check of the Fashion & Home section at the editorial review

The Ideal Candidate for the role would have the following attributes:

  • Graduate Calibre with  Marketing Qualification preferred
  • 5 years marketing experience, including 1 year in category / brand management.
  • The ideal Category manager will have a High level of co-ordination amongst all marketing functions.  Close relationships with Regional Brand Marketing and Global. 
  • You should have a detailed knowledge of market trends and competitor strategies in order to feed into strategies and develop local plans.
  • Ability to manage direct reports and to co-ordinate efforts of associates in supporting roles –such as forecasting and creative and B2C.
  • There will be Daily requirement to liaise with multiple business functions and to lead decision making in all matters related to category performance.
