Marketing and Merchandising Manager Germany

An innovative and market leading Online Health and Beauty Store is looking for their next Marketing Manager to help drive new business in Germany. The ideal candidate must be fluent in German and have experience with ecommerce marketing as well as local German market knowledge, ideally within the beauty sector.

THE ROLE 

• Gain an excellent understanding of the customers and competitors and understand what is needed to gain more customers and to win against competitors. 
• Work with the Marketing Communications Manager to develop and create engaging and creative onsite local market campaigns.  Where possible, these should draw on the UK plan, with relevant localisation for the German Market.
• Work with our Online and Offline Marketing teams to set up and manage local market affiliate, search, social and email marketing activity targeted at increasing German sales and raising brand awareness.
• Produce weekly performance reports to show sales performance resulting from sales and marketing activity.  Analyse these reports and subsequently roll out agreed actions that will drive increased sales.
• Co-ordinate website translation services with Motion Point; our website translation partner.

THE PERSON

• Outstanding organisational and prioritisation skills.
• An exceptional analytical mind and the ability to implement data driven decisions whilst working under pressure.
• Fluent written and oral German language skills.
• Broad understanding of the global beauty market.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage projects independently.
• Strong computer skills together with an understanding of ecommerce and content management.
