This is a well established branded household named business with leading Brand Management / Marketing function, which have year on year excelled in the marketplace through a focus on consumer insight and strategic brand development. The business is well invested, profitable and has excellent relationships with the retailers, due to their focus on quality products and innovation. Operating within a matrix led divisional Company structure has meant that their product offering is highly extensive whilst offering UK leading Brands with regional heritage to boot. With some of the most recognisable Brands within the Retail Space they serve, they are at the forefront of strong organic growth across several categories/product areas. They are are seeking to appoint a Brand Manager with Marketing.

The Role- Brand Manager

Reporting into the Head of Marketing, you will be managing the flagship brand in the business. You will be responsible for

Senior Brand Manager

  • Creating, implementing & communicate the Brand Plan.
  • Managing the HQ Licensing Relationship (Which in itself has several key stakesholders)
  • Driving strong Levels is NPD (This is key to the role)
  • Identify innovation & renovation initiatives in support of category & brand strategies within the brand portfolio
  • Develop the Digital communication strategy (including Website/Social media) to ensure that it aligns with the Brand Strategy and overall Communication strategy to engage key target audiences and deliver against KPI’s
  • Prioritise, initiate & direct relevant brand specific opportunities on a project basis.
  • Project manage the innovation & renovation initiatives as agreed in the brand plan , working closely with the relevant internal departments as well as Sister companies.
  • Have good understanding of product profitability & analyse changes, identifying causes & potential ways to improve.
  • Manage the marketing budget

The Person Brand Manager

Could Be Either:

  • Classicaly trained Brand Management candidate or
  • Someone from a Commercial Own Label environment- who has gained strong exposure to packaging, NPD and some level of Marketing.- Both of which Must Have:
  • Have a background of working in a food business
  • Must have a demonstrable background of bringing a brand/product back into growth
  • Needs to be commercially astute and category literate
  • Ideally would like some social media experience
  • Tenacious a real team player and creative thinker
