Job Details
Our client is a luxury food business that is recognised for their strong heritage, quality ingredients, innovative selection and beautiful packaging.
As they continue to develop their presence within the EMEA region, they are seeking a Merchandising Manager to successfully deliver profit and equity growth for their Retail & Wholesale channel. This will involve developing a deep understanding of their shopper and consumer behaviour and partnering with Marketing, Operations, Innovation and Finance to build exciting product strategy, based on insight & analysis. Reporting to the Marketing Director, key responsibilities will include mentoring a Business Analyst and owning the ranging and pricing strategy for new stores by taking into consideration the size, location and customer type. You will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of promotions and new product developments to drive future plans and forecast management. To be successful within this role, you will demonstrate that you can build effective relationships and anticipate the needs of the end-user.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain international exposure and experience within the premium market.
The successful candidate will be degree educated, ideally with a Masters in a business related degree such as Economics or Marketing. You will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a merchandising or category management role, preferably with a luxury brand. Experience in dealing with Franchisees & Wholesale at an international level will be key, as well as strong commercial acumen coupled with entrepreneurial mind set. Fluent French would be an advantage.
