A major player within the branded dairy arena has created a new position within their UK business to develop their Retail Convenience Channel. Within the UK the wider group turnover is in the region of £400m, this standalone business has a turnover of £50m. Their market leading branded portfolio includes Yogurt, Spreads and Dairy drink products. They have a very strong presence across the Top 6 retailers and a growing business within the Retail Convenience channel. Following on from the recent growth of the Convenience channel and the increased demand for their products they have created a new position for an Interim Commercial Manager to grow their existing business and break into new accounts.
Role
As a Commercial Manager you will take full responsibility for the Retail Convenience. Customers within this role include currently include Nisa, Spar, Coop, P&H and Booker. In addition to the development of these accounts you will be tasked with starting discussions with customers such as Lidl and Aldi. You will report into the UK Sales Director and work closely with the wider team of NAMs and SNAMs. The role is initially expected to be a 6 months contract.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you must be a driven and dynamic individual with a proven track record of growing and developing business within the Convenience channel. As for product background, my client is open to people from any branded food or drink category. It is important that you can fit into a real team culture but also have ability to stand on your own. With regards to location you would be expected to be in their head office in West London 2 days per week.
