We are always looking for high calibre talent to join our expanding team of Area Sales Managers throughout the West of England (Birmingham to Cornwall).  You would be working within a Region, in a team of 8-10 other Area Sales Managers and as part of a Divisional team of 70 sales professionals for the West Division.

Main responsibilities

 

 

As Area Sales Manager reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, your overall brief will be to maintain and grow profitable independent sales within a given geographic and product portfolio area, increasing both sales turnover and gross profit.  It’s a key organisational role that will entail devising and delivering an area business plan and telesales partnership plan to maximise growth, whilst proactively managing customer retention.  Maintaining your call cycle via Call Smart, in addition to competitor awareness, you’ll also be expected to:

 

 

 

• liaise with Accounts to minimise credit exposure

 

 

 

 

• maintain and develop your knowledge of our product offering

 

 

 

 

• ensure the best commercial fit to the customer and their business.


Ideal candidate

 

 

 

 With a proven track record of profitable sales delivery, underpinned by demonstrable knowledge of the foodservice market place, you’ll have a clear ability to maximise selling opportunities by analysing customer needs.  Your capacity to interpret, understand and act on financial data to achieve customer solutions will complement good IT-literacy and a strong teamwork ethic, in which you’ll happily support colleagues.  You’ll also bring:

 

 

 

• a very high level of organisational capability

 

 

 

 

• evidence of working in a structured, process-driven environment

 

 

 

 

• commercial acumen, with numeracy skills and familiarity with budgets and P&L

 

 

 

 

• the ability to engage and inspire your customer to ensure they succeed.
