Job Details

We are looking for a Business Manager to develop and implement a joint annual business plan with customers in line with Thorntons Commercial sales strategy.

 

 

 

Responsibilities will include…..

 

 

 

  • Develop and deliver a joint customer business plan in order to achieve agreed sales and contribution targets.
  • Develop relationships with key RTM customers at a Head Office level & robust business plans with the relevant Symbol Fascia
  • Create and implement the customer activity plans to ensure they meet or exceed the business needs of both Thorntons and the customer
  • Deliver against distribution targets and maximise additional listing opportunities (AYR and key seasons) in line with brand objectives
  • Effectively utilise and analyse all key internal and external data available to optimise business results
  • Proactively manage and ensure an optimum return on Investment for all customer spend
  • Manage all interfaces between customer and Thorntons to continually develop the network and relationship between both parties
  • Successfully manage a 12 to 18 month rolling forecast into the business to reflect the latest view of sales and spend to the customer
  • Develop new range formats in High Street stores and work closely with internal Retail colleagues to drive synergies across the range
  • Utilise cross functional relationships to develop key in store themes across the customer base

    We need you to have strong commercial acumen aligned to outstanding relationship management. You will be a skilled negotiator and have a strong understanding of managing a complex and diverse customer base alongside an understanding of P & L and cost drivers. Experience of FMCG sales is an advantage, you will also have the potential to mentor and develop staff as appropriate.
