Assistant Account Manager – Home and Electrical

Since their establishment in the late 1940’s my client has grown to be a leading business in the distribution of homewares, textiles and kitchen appliances. With a turnover in excess of £20million they have grown considerably over the past few years, with the introduction of a SDA range in 2009 they now have a strong product portfolio which stands out against the competition. The range includes branded, own label and licensed products and they currently distribute one of the leading e-cigarette brands in the UK. Due to the breadth of the product range they work with leading retailers including Tesco, BHS, Argos and Aldi as well as independent retailers. They now seek an Assistant Account Manager to join their growing team.

As Assistant Account Manager you will report directly into the National Account Manager for the Tesco and Costco accounts, supporting them in the day to maintenance of the relationships. Working alongside them you will be the day to day contact for your accounts, reviewing weekly figures, margins and stock levels to ensure customer satisfaction is of a high level. By working closely with the accounts you will see products from concept to launch and will communicate and direct the factory in China to ensure orders are on time and they have all the relevant materials. As well as working with the branded products within these accounts you will also support key areas of the own label division of small domestic appliance. This will involve preparing specification sheets, creating directories and liaising with the factories regarding pricing and product details. There is also an opportunity to work with the product development team via weekly meetings and having the chance to present your ideas.

In order to be considered for this role you should have experience working within a commercial environment. Ideally this would be within the industries linked to the company, however others will be considered.
