Job Details

Our client is a well-established branded FMCG business. Their Brands have considerable heritage and exposure through the globe and they are recognised for the high quality of their products.

With over 3000 employees worldwide they put their people at the very centre of their success and have an award winning culture of excellence, professionalism and standards.  Their brands hold strong category positions across all of their customer base worldwide.  The UK business is relatively small in comparison to the rest of Europe however that is about to change.

Supported by a considerable investment plan across both sales and marketing they are looking to appoint a first class National Account Manager. The role will have overall responsibility for the management and development of the business through first class trading relationships with Asda, Morrison’s and the Co-op.

 The role

  • In conjunction with the National Account Controller you will produce and implement joint business plans (incorporating trading terms) to optimise performance in line with the strategy and objectives of the corporate plan. Specifically you will be responsible for budgeted volume and net sales growth whilst driving market out performance for the brand within agreed parameters.
  • Developing and ensuring weekly tracking is in palace to measure and evaluate performance to ensure the plan is on track.
  • You will have full P&L accountability for all of the accounts.
  • You will design negotiate and implement the promotional programme aligned to the businesses marketing programme and the category growth objectives.
  • You will help to define the company culture and be one of the  pillars for future growth
  • To help and support bring young talent through the business.

The Person

  • You will have at least 3-5 years previous National Account management experience working in FMCG with UK grocery retailers.
  • You will understand Brands.
  • Previous experience of the accounts managed would be an advantage.
  • A good understanding of category management.
  • You will be highly organised, efficient and highly numerate.
  • You will have potential to grow and relish the challenge of helping build a UK business in return for rapid career progression.
  • You will be hungry for success, not afraid of hard work and have strong common sense.
