National Account Manager – Household Goods

To £50,000 Basic, 10% Bonus, Audi A4, Excellent Benefits

Our Client is a leading Household brand. They are looking for someone to look after some multiple retail accounts. This is to look after  a portfolio of top grocery accounts ( inc Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, plus a whole host of other smaller accounts including Co-op, Wilkinsons, Dunelm ). Total portfolio value is approx £9 million with bags of potential to increase.

Candidates must have a good understanding of category management and must sell on a category / insight basis, and put forward compelling arguments using this sort of data.

Candidates must understand the importance of always having a reason to get in front of the buyers ( and should ideally be used to planting seeds for future meetings at every meeting they attend with a buyer )

Candidates must have some kind of top 4 Grocery exposure.

Must be from a branded sector ( essential ).

Candidates can be from any category, either food or non food, however our client would slightly prefer candidates from related non food categories ( for example, food preparation, food disposables, household paper ( inc toilet tissue and kitchen roll ), baking goods, kitchen goods, cleaning, laundry, household plastics, dish cloths / pan scourers, Food bags etc

Home based but with regular travel to the office ( West Midlands ). Should ideally live within an hour of the office, max 90 minutes away ( areas considered include from south Manchester go south to Hereford, from Hereford go east to Northampton, from Northampton go north to Nottingham, from Nottingham go north west to Manchester, and then back to Liverpool.

Remuneration - £50k basic. 10% bonus. Audi A4.
