The amazing family history of Lactalis began on 19th October 1933 in Laval, Western France, when Andre Besnier, with a single employee, collected 35 litres of milk and produced his first 17 Camembert cheeses.

Since 1933 the vocation of the Lactalis Groupe has been to transform milk in all its forms and to offer the best dairy products to the broadest range of consumers. This mission translates into a strong commitment to the Dairy industry.

Cheese remains the Company core business and the sector where it continues to lead, accounting for 34% of the Company turnover. The Lactalis Groupe also has a dedicated division which specialises in fresh milk which accounts for 25% of the Company turnover, as well as another which specialises in yogurts and chilled desserts which accounts for 13% of the turnover

Lactalis has a strong presence in the UK, and comprises of the following companies:

Job

The key function of this role is to support and develop the ‘in-store’ consumer experience of our Branded products.

This role will contribute to the shaping of the Branded development and activation strategy for the Grocery retail and Foodservice customer base. You will support the development of Branded strategies to bridge the gap between Marketing, Category and Sales, to help deliver these effectively across the customer base.

You will need to work with the marketing and category teams to ensure that product launches, range promotions and in-store campaigns are effectively translated to the relevant customer base. You will need to understand the total customer base from a Branded perspective including retail, foodservice and new routes to market such as Online, Convenience and Discounters. You will need to work closely with customers (buyers, planners, technical and support teams) to build strong relationships, trust and Lactalis UK position as a preferred supplier.

In general, you’ll need to work on helping to develop Branded products and ensuring conformation with retailer standards. To support the development of product launches and work with customer teams to execute launch plans and marketing support strategies at store/outlet level.

Person

You will have >4 years’ experience in marketing in the FMCG, food & retail sector with a strong track record in delivering marketing & product support Branded products.

With strong analytical, presentation and communication skills you will report into and work closely with the Senior Trade Activation Manager in order to champion the ‘in-store’ consumer experience for the Branded portfolio.
