An exciting opportunity has arisen within a tea and coffee company that has been established for over 100 years. They specialise in providing high quality private label solutions to leading UK wholesalers and distributors as well as offering their own branded range of products.  Some key accounts include 3663, Brakes and Booker. The business has plans in place for substantial account growth in the foreseeable future through the acquisition of more private label business. They are privately owned and looking to bring somebody on board to take over the commercial side of the business with a view for them to take an equity stake in the business in the future.

As National Account Manager you will take on an existing portfolio of accounts and will be responsible for maintaining and building upon the already existing customer base as well as bringing on new business particularly from within the Foodservice channel. You will work closely with the Sales Director, shadowing him in his duties until you are in a position to take these over and work more autonomously. With the success of the role there is potential for the team to grow and for you to be involved in the recruitment of your own sales team.

To be considered for this new opportunity you will need a wealth of experience managing accounts within the Foodservice channel and working with private label products, preferably from the tea and coffee industry. High calibre candidates with relevant channel and product experience from other areas of the drinks industry may also be considered for this position. You will need to be highly motivated, entrepreneurial and be able to work as part of a small team and then as an autonomous unit as the role develops. You will need a strong track record for acquiring new business and maintaining long lasting relationships with clients as this will be a huge focus for the role.
