The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Tesco Commercial Manager at our Warrington site with travel to our Kiveton site required. The main purpose of the role is to support the Commercial Controller in the development and delivery of the Tesco Account Plan. This will be achieved by identifying, anticipating and satisfying customer's needs and requirements efficiently and profitably. The Commercial Manager will also be responsible for all aspects of account management and relationship growth as well as allocated P&L responsibility.

Key Accountabilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Lead Tesco account responsibility for Tesco Prepared Meals product portfolio
• Lead Tesco account responsibility for Weight Watchers branded product portfolio
• Maintenance and improvement of the customer relationship through structured contact strategy and self-developed account plans whilst executing the Greencore / Tesco brand strategies
• Relevant liaison with Tesco Supply Team on all supply / planning interactions
• Lead the liaison with internal stakeholders in all supply / planning interaction whilst progressively developing closer relationships between Tesco supply colleagues and Greencore planning colleagues.
• Key member of Tesco team, number 2 to the Tesco Commercial Controller
• Achievement of budget / forecast measures: sales, contribution and EBIT
• Account Management of Tesco CRM categories, including full buyer engagement and P&L ownership of all aspects of CRM business in Tesco
• Account Management of Tesco Weight Watchers category, including full buyer engagement and P&L ownership of all aspects of Weight Watchers business in Tesco
• Creation and maintenance of the Tesco JBP reporting suite to provide Tesco with accurate timely business reporting on a periodic basis (weekly / monthly / quarterly)
• Creation and maintenance of a Tesco Business Performance Monitor to provide Greencore with key business performance indicators on an ongoing basis
• Engagement with Tesco Supply Team at appropriate levels including monthly meetings and other projects as required
• Management of internal and external Tesco administration, with support from Commercial Executive as appropriate.

Skills & Experience

• Degree (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of the UK grocery trade with specific experience of Tesco
• Experience of retailer brand product portfolios and ideally brand but not essential
• Working knowledge of Tesco Link
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to analyse data and identify drivers, trends and opportunities
• Ability to demonstrate category and consumer understanding.
• Strong project management skills with good organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
• Out-going, enthusiastic and self motivating attitude to work with the ability to show initiative, creativity and flexibility.
• Advanced PC skills including ability to use Microsoft programs, particularly Excel
• A 'can do' attitude demonstrated in a challenging manufacturing environment

The role will be based at our Warrington site with frequent travel to our Kiveton site.
