Job Details
As the Senior Brand Manager, you will develop and deliver excellent marketing strategies that will ensure both financial, product and brand health objectives are met. To manage and control the development, implementation and evaluation of the brand plans for Value Mainstream, Premium and Retail Own Brand in your category.
The Company
This is a new role with a very well known brand within FMCG, providing numerous products across food and drink categories. A fast paced, very successful, commercial and dynamic environment – they are looking for an ambitious, proven, experienced and driven Senior Brand Manager to join their business to support in their continued growth and success.
The Role
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering the vision & Key KPIs and brand objectives for two leading brands
- Annual Brand Situational Analysis and Brand Plan
- Development of the Strategic Plan for your categories
- Development & delivery of key renovation and value engineering projects
- Development and Delivery of key NPD projects: Launch and growth plans across a number of brands
- Close Technical/NPD and Factory Liaison – product quality, product development
- Joint signatory on all promotional pre-evaluations ensuring promotions meet strategy
- Key commercial liaison to develop clear pricing and promotions strategy with commercial including special pack development
- Ensure sales teams are fully briefed on marketing plans and are fully implementing appropriate brand activity
- Early identification of variances against plan & recommendation of appropriate remedial actions
- Build relationships and liaise with agencies – Advertising, BTL, PR, Media
- Key lead on premium demand channel review. No 2 for product review meeting
- Oversee team to deliver Brand health reporting monthly
- Liaison and relationship development with customer marketing brand partner on trade activities.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in marketing in FMCG environment and working in food and drink would be a plus but not essential
- Excellent commercial understanding & ability to make sound recommendations
- Good knowledge of advertising and communications development
- Presentation skills – able to fluently and clearly present plans and recommendations
- Knowledge and experience of NPD and product development
- Strong Project management skills – planning and prioritization
- Experience of consumer research, both qualitative and quantitative
