Marketing Manager – Premium Global Spirits Organisation – Off Trade Channel

Homebased with days in London & the South East.

The Role:

Bringing renowned premium Spirit Brands to life in the Off Trade Channel by developing strategic channel activation plans which address the brands consumer & purchaser challenges & opportunities whilst exciting customers and delivering commercial targets set.

You will monitor brand and trademark performance against targets – at total channel, sector and key customer levels – on an ongoing basis. Developing recommendations around remedial action if actuals are behind budget and implement accordingly.

Accountable the development of annual brand/channel (including key customer) activation plans ensuring that activation is fully aligned to overall portfolio channel strategy driven by Channel Manager.

You will be responsible for ensuring all relevant brand/trade marketing activation is built upon relevant consumer/purchaser insight to unlock growth.

Working collaboratively with the Consumer Brand team  to create activity briefs for agencies (including design, POSM, Sales Promotions & equipment) outlining requirements, timings and budget (in conjunction with Procurement)

Accountable for delivering  brand activation plans to customers in line with annual commercial planning process and calendar

Working with key agencies to develop plans in line with BTL brand objectives

The Person:

You will have relevant commercial experience, including experience within Marketing working on a leading brand, ideally with a level of trade/customer focus.

Strong knowledge of the Off Trade Channel, experienced in managing budgets and agency relationships.

You must be Brand literate with a strong affinity for the consumer and their motivations.

Strong analytical ability to identify key issues and opportunities.

Leadership skills and able to demonstrate personal ownership and accountability.

A team worker able to work well with internal and external teams.

Commercially aware and able to integrate customer agenda into thinking.

Good communicator with ability to engage the business.
