Territory Manager – Unilever

UK – 50 positions available in all locations across the UK

Temporary role starting on 24th February for 30 weeks

A fantastic opportunity to earn money and work with one of the biggest names in the grocery industry – Unilever!

As a Territory Manager for Unilever, you'll take responsibility for increasing brand distribution and visibility within the Convenience and Foodservice channels.  You will ensure stores and outlets are set up ready for the Ice-cream season (with the right range, space and point of sale) and then help drive sales throughout the key summer months. 

Representing an amazing portfolio of market leading Ice-cream brands you'll prove your ability to negotiate and build great relationships whilst demonstrating the passion, energy and entrepreneurial spirit to identify and exploit every opportunity to develop sales.

You'll need to be results-driven with high personal energy, ideally with experience in a customer facing role. Your ability to build relationships quickly and effectively should be combined with solid commercial understanding and excellent planning skills.

Job Role

  • Managing an existing base of Convenience and/or Foodservice outlets, ensuring they are stocking the right equipment, range and point of sales
  • Identifying and opening new customer sites by following up leads or creating your own opportunities, tailoring the appropriate proposition for each one.
  • Identifying the key decision makers in each outlet and flexing your style to influence effectively and build value-adding relationships.
  • Build and present selling stories to open up new distribution points, place additional point of sale or site locally agreed displays to increase consumer visibility and drive incremental sales of Unilever brands
  • Sell in forthcoming promotions to key contacts to ensure compliance
  • Site and maintain head-office or locally agreed Point Of Purchase equipment such as  freezers or other fistulisation/kit
  • Hand-held invoicing and payment collection (using card-readers)
  • Personal ownership of territory objectives and targets

  • Experience in a similar field sales / van sales or merchandising role in the Retail, Convenience or foodservice sector will be an advantage, but full training will be provided to the successful candidate, plus ongoing support.
