Business Development Manager

Salary - c.£35-40k + bonus + car + benefits package
Exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's leading bathroom product brands. Through continued growth and development they now seek a Business Development Manager to join one of their largest National Account teams to drive profitable bottom line growth and deliver the account strategy. We do not seek bathroom products experience; we seek strong account managers from within the consumer products environment who have demonstrable success for positively driving a key retail account.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaising with the National Sales Manager to agree and prioritise targets
- Develop account strategies in accordance with overall channel strategy by product category
- Develop account goals and business plan alongside regional and HO management
- Conduct regular reviews of business performance with senior decision makers with the business divisions
- Scope and implement a calendar of promotion strategies to drive sales opportunities
- Partnering with the relevant Channel and Product management in promotional development
- Participate in the development and implementation of account's financial support program
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience managing a key national account customer
- Demonstrated skills in achieving sales, profitability, and budget goals and the ability to effectively implement sales and marketing strategies
- Ability to effectively monitor category performance versus plan and communicate accordingly
- Ability to understand trade spending effectiveness (efficiency of promotional activity is preferred)
- Candidate should possess strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem solving skills
- High-energy self-starter as well as collaborative team player
- 3 year regional / area Sales management experience
