Channel Marketing Controller On Trade - Global Premium Spirits Company
Location: Home based with days in London and South East head offices
The Role:
Reporting to the Head Of Marketing, you will lead the development of this Global Spirit organisation’s portfolio channel strategy in the On Trade, Working closely with the senior brand team on the core brands strategic direction, you will provide overall lead for Premium Spirits Category Strategy. Translating corporate / brand ambitions into On Trade Channel specific plans to deliver profitable growth for the portfolio and key categories.
From an Insight and Analysis perspective, you will develop a comprehensive On Trade consumer insight platform – from which to build a framework for channel marketing strategies that will support commercial brand plans.
You will use channel insights and situation analysis to guide and prioritise investment by channel segment and to shape the annual brand/channel planning process.
Demonstrating a deep level of customer understanding to inform the channel plans and gain competitive advantage, ensuring plans take account of customer agendas.
In terms of Channel Planning, you will help create On Trade Consumer based marketing vision & strategy working with the head of marketing and key agency partners.
You will develop an overarching Portfolio that includes On Trade Occasion /Mission based activation ways of working and thinking – as a framework for brands to build cross channel brand activation plans.
The Right Person:
You will have 5 + years Customer Marketing or Sales preferably in 2 or 3 different channels in an FMCG or beverage business.
Experienced in Insight Generation, Integrated Business Planning with excellent Commercial Acumen.
A demonstrable track record in Strategic Category Management and Brand literate with a strong affinity for the consumer and their motivations.
A clear Understanding of channel dynamics & key players in the On Trade market with Full understanding of FMCG / drinks industry
Experience of working with commercial tools and processes to develop channel and customer business plans
Class leading Activation Experience.
